CronSync is a time tracking application for businesses and professionals. Users can generate invoices for projects that include company logos and customizable details. CronSync also provides users with the tools necessary to track clients and projects. Users can build projects, create tasks and maintain addresses and contact details in one place. The web based design allows the user to access their data from anywhere (with internet access, of course). The user can view hourly rates, client financial data and archives for each contact. The accounting tools allow the user to process and print invoices, trim details and stay organized. CronSync also allows users to add team members and provide custom access levels. Real time project statistics are also available whenever the user needs to view them.Show more screenshots »
CronSync was developed by Kontrolfeld, a company focused on innovative web applications and similar products. Kontrolfeld appeared in 2001 and continues to work with clients on application projects. The company offers technical and content consulting, design and concept planning, community platform development and website implementation and management services. CronSync is one of the company’s most prominent products.
CronSync gives users a number of detailed features to keep track of billing, hours and general project organization. Users can add clients, projects and individual tasks. CronSync also provides invoice generating features that include customizations such as company logos and less or more detailed views. Overall CronSync gives the user a great deal of control over their billing, invoicing and project management tasks.
CronSync has a very eye-catching grey and purple color scheme that works well. Although most professional applications favor blue, the purple of CronSync seems to give it a unique personality all its own. Rounded data entry fields and user friendly tables with different colored rows also make the application easy to read without detracting from its visual appeal.
A new user who would like to create a trial CronSync account can click on the purple “Try it for free” button found in the lower, right hand corner of the homepage. The user will find the short registration form along the right hand side. This can also be accessed simply by scrolling all the way down while on the homepage. The form requires an email address, password, company name and desired subdomain name. The user must also check the terms and conditions box at the bottom of the form to continue. After checking the black and white “Send” button, the user is advised that they should check their email inbox for a confirmation message that contains a link which must be clicked to complete registration.
According to the CronSync FAQ, anyone can test out the application for free. There are no subscription fees at this time or other charges for doing so. Eventually this will change. The site currently notes that the subscription service will be rolled out in approximately two months. Users who create a free test account will be given a five Euro discount on the cost of each user per month. No further information is provided regarding the per user price for a CronSync subscription.
CronSync is a tool for anyone who has a team and needs to find a way to manage billing and projects. The price of the application is still unknown, but it seems to be aimed at smaller businesses.
